Description
Gold from the Deep is part of Between Surface and Light – a body of work exploring water through an alternative chromatic translation. Using the same, consistent color transformation across the entire series, familiar surfaces begin to read like something newly revealed: currents become structure, reflections become depth, and the ordinary turns quietly otherworldly.
In this frame, a warm, gold presence appears to rise from within the water’s blue-violet field – not as a literal scene, but as an emergence. The image carries the feeling of something ancient and alive moving beneath a thin boundary, as if the water is not a surface at all, but a membrane. The “gold” is less a color than a signal: a fleeting glimpse of a hidden spectrum, a reminder that another way of seeing may already exist within the same world.
