Description
Vital Current is part of my Between Surface and Light series—an exploration of water seen through a single, consistent chromatic translation applied across the entire body of work. By shifting the familiar spectrum into an expanded palette, the surface becomes a threshold: what we normally read as “just water” begins to reveal an alien beauty, where color shapes form and form suggests presence.
In this image, a luminous ribbon cuts through the frame like a lifeline—an inner current carrying heat, motion, and quiet force. It looks almost like fire or flowing mineral, yet it is only water and light, rendered into an unexpected language. The work invites a pause: not to decode what it is, but to sense what it feels like—life moving beneath the visible world.
